Managing your domain’s DNS records is an important part of setting up websites, emails, and other online services. At AddinyHost, we make it easy for you to take full control of your DNS using our DNS Management Panel.
However, before you can use our DNS management system, you MUST point your domain’s nameservers to AddinyHost’s DNS servers.
This guide will walk you through:
- What DNS management is
- When to use AddinyHost DNS management
- How to point your domain to our nameservers
- When you should not use these nameservers
🧩 What is DNS Management? #
DNS (Domain Name System) is what connects your domain name to different services like:
- Your website
- Your cPanel hosting
- Your email services
- Third-party tools like Cloudflare, Google Workspace, Zoho Mail, etc.
DNS management allows you to create and update records such as:
- A Records
- CNAME
- MX Records
- TXT Records (for verification, SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- SRV Records
AddinyHost provides a full DNS Management panel so you can control all of these easily.
✅ When Should You Use AddinyHost DNS Management? #
You should use AddinyHost’s DNS panel ONLY if:
- You want to manage DNS directly from AddinyHost
- Your domain is NOT connected to any hosting yet
- You want to manage DNS separately from your hosting
- You are using third-party website builders (e.g., Shopify, Blogger, Webflow)
- You want to host email elsewhere while using external web hosting
🚫 When You SHOULD NOT Use AddinyHost DNS Management #
Do NOT use these DNS nameservers if:
- You have hosting with us (AddinyHost cPanel / VPS)
- Your hosting server already requires its own nameservers
- You want DNS to be managed from your hosting control panel
👉 If you have AddinyHost hosting, manage DNS inside your cPanel only.
🔧 How to Enable AddinyHost DNS Management #
To use our DNS panel, you must point your domain to the following nameservers:
addinyhost.earth.orderbox-dns.com
addinyhost.mars.orderbox-dns.com
addinyhost.mercury.orderbox-dns.com
addinyhost.venus.orderbox-dns.com
Steps: #
- Log into your domain control panel (e.g., AddinyHost, Namecheap, GoDaddy, etc.)
- Locate the Nameservers or DNS section
- Switch to Custom Nameservers
- Enter all four AddinyHost nameservers
- Save the changes
- Wait for propagation (usually 5–30 minutes, sometimes up to 24 hrs)
Once propagation is complete, you can manage all DNS records inside your AddinyHost Domain Management Dashboard.
What You Can Do After Nameserver Update #
After updating the nameservers, you can:
- Add A records to point your domain to any server
- Add MX records to use email hosting anywhere
- Add TXT/SPF/DKIM for email authentication
- Configure CNAME for subdomains
- Setup records for services like Cloudflare, Google Workspace, Zoho Mail, Mailchimp, etc.
Everything becomes fully managed inside AddinyHost.
📌 Final Reminder #
- Use these nameservers ONLY if you want to manage DNS inside AddinyHost.
- If you already have hosting or cPanel with us, DO NOT change the nameservers—use the DNS zone editor inside your hosting account instead.
