How to Connect Your Domain to AddinyHost (Step-by-Step Guide)

1 min read

If you’ve purchased hosting from AddinyHost, you’ll need to point your domain to our servers.
This process is very simple, it only takes 2–3 minutes.

Step 1: Log in to Your Domain Registrar #

This is the website where you bought your domain.

Examples include:

  • Namecheap
  • GoDaddy
  • Google Domains
  • Hostinger
  • Bluehost
  • AfricaHosting
  • or any other domain provider

Log in to your dashboard and find the domain you want to connect.

Step 2: Find “Nameservers” Settings #

Every domain registrar has this section.
Look for a menu called:

  • DNS
  • DNS Management
  • Nameservers
  • Custom DNS
  • Advanced DNS
  • Domain Settings → Nameservers

Click it to open the nameserver management page.

Step 3: Change Nameservers to AddinyHost #

Replace the existing nameservers with ours:

ns1.addinyhost.com
ns2.addinyhost.com

Make sure you type them exactly as shown.

✔ No need for IP addresses
✔ No need to modify A-records
✔ Just replace the two nameservers and save

Step 4: Save Your Changes #

Click Save / Apply / Update (depending on your domain provider).

Your domain will now start pointing to AddinyHost.

Step 5: Wait for DNS Propagation #

DNS updates can take:

  • Usually: 5–30 minutes
  • Sometimes: 1–2 hours
  • Rare cases: Up to 24 hours

But don’t worry your site will automatically go live once the update finishes.

🎉 That’s It! You’re Connected #

Once the nameservers update, your domain will fully point to your hosting account on AddinyHost.

If you’ve added the domain inside your cPanel or hosting dashboard, your website will load instantly after propagation.
